The main purpose of a laser metal cutter is to cut metal at high speed with the best possible result without the need for further processing. The highest precision, reliability and model quality make Wattsan laser metal cutters in demand all over the world.

Frame

Wattsan Hard frames are heavier and have stronger load-bearing capacity (compared to similar cutting machines from 6000 to 20000 W). All frames are made by multi-stage heat treatment during the day, followed by milling.

Gantry

Wattsan HARD machines use over-large section aluminium gantries.

Aluminium gantry over a large section is a good hardness, rigidity with light weight, as well as resistance to corrosion and oxidative processes. Thanks to the aluminium gantry and the design precisely calculated by our engineers, the machine is completely insured against deformations and breakages.

Protective cabin with air filtration

The fully enclosed design of the cabin protection of the machine is equipped with an internal smoke extraction and air filtration system. It allows you to keep the air in the production room clean and provides additional safety for operators.

Video monitoring

Camera 1 broadcasts the operation of the machine inside the cabin to the operator’s monitor.

Camera 2 is used at monitoring the work of interchangeable tables. With its help, the operator can see the operation of the machine “behind the cabin”, which ensures both the safety of the mechanism and the safety of other operators in the production.

Control system

Wattsan Hard metal cutters are designed with The FSCUT control system. It consists of controllers and CYPCUT software. The controller is completed with the display with the liquid crystal screen and the control panel.

Safety glasses

Protective glass protects expensive collimator optics from dust, dirt and sparks. The lower safety glass is the main consumable; the upper glass is rarely replaced.

Collimator lens

Ensures the beam is parallel before it enters the focusing lens. Should not be changed more than once a year or when servicing the laser head.

Focusing module with position controller

Dynamic focal length variation during operation, to ensure optimum plunge cuts and quality cuts.

Cooling

Water-cooled laser head for critical components: collimator, focus.

Inductive sensor

Ensures that the nozzle height is always precisely maintained above the materials, which in turn ensures a stable cut, regardless of the curvature of the material.

    Wattsan machines use a specially designed extruded aluminium gantry. It has high strength characteristics and low weight.
    Mitsubishi servomotors are reliable, quiet and affordable. They offer high power and low vibration in a compact size.

    Several types of frames are available

    Manufactured for metal cutters with travel speeds of up to 80 metres per minute. The wall thickness of the frame is 8 to 10 mm. There is a reinforcing rib every 400 mm. The frame is heat-treated to ensure a long service life. Machine frame warranty is for 8 years. Used in basic models with work field sizes 1010, 1313, 1325 and 1530. Ventilation beam system with holes of different diameters for uniform fume extraction during cutting.
    Manufactured for metal cutters with a travel speed of 100 to 160 metres per minute. The wall thickness is 12 to 16 mm. Every 400 mm sheet is reinforced inside the frame. The frame is heat treated to stabilize the metal. Frame has a 10 year warranty. Used in machines with working field sizes from 1313 to 2060, used in configurations with an auto-shift or with a pipe cutting module. It has a number of features such as pneumatic flaps for efficient smoke removal during cutting, protection from powerful radiation, preparation for upgrading and others. The frame construction is extremely robust and durable.

    Modes

    Knowing the cutting conditions is our job. With the right cutting modes, you can cut faster, without additional processing, or simply save on materials.

    A special strategy for machining an array of coaxial holes. Reduced machining time, reduced gas consumption. Particularly relevant for the production of ventilated products and perforated enclosures.
    Cutting sharp corners without burnout by means of loops on the edges of the product. Allows you to produce products with sharp corners even when cutting thicker materials.
    Sheet location function. Speeds up the search and start of work by automatically locating the edge of the sheet.
    Compensates for the width of the cut. Required to obtain parts according to the drawing, the function takes the width of the beam into account and compensates for it.
    Common cutting line. Saves cutting time and material, as it does not go over the same cutting point twice.

    We switched to Mitsubishi servomotors because they are widespread and extremely reliable.

    The machine frames are designed to perform their tasks with reserve and to last longer than conventional machines.
